Candied haws, many people in China can recall their childhood. So far, the bunches of candied haws at the Spring Festival temple fair in Beijing have a small colorful flag on the top. Each bunch has ten hawthorns and is red Bent bamboo sticks with red fruits to celebrate happy holidays.

Candied haws, the ancient practice has already begun during the Song Dynasty, there are long records in history, many places during the Qing Dynasty. Tea houses, theaters, and streets have become traditional Chinese snacks. Candied haws can be eaten by both the elderly and children. It has the functions of digestion, nourishment, mental enhancement, fatigue relief, and heat removal.
